We also used a close up very effectively when Mr Smith arrives at the destination however finds out he is too late. Like frame 5 the close up shows the expression on his face, of distraught anxiety and fatigue.
A mid shot of Mr Smith when speaking to the protagonist shows how our character is feeling when speaking to him. It elaborates his nervousness and cautiousness not to give away any information, as would be seen by a character in a political thriller. This is depicted by frame 9.
The establishing shot in frame 7 resembles that of our establishing shot of Smith running through millenium bridge. It sets the scene which is important in trying to make our political espionage thriller plausible. Smith running through it is the one of the introductory shots of his race against time.
The mid long shot in frame 1 replicates that of our mid long shot. It shows the props of like a control room, in comparison ours is off Smiths multiple identities, briefcase and top secret documents. We had to make sure we had a lot of conventional thriller props to help tell our story as we couldn't have done that just be dialogue in two minutes. So these items helped us put that across.
The long shot of Smith at 'little bridge' is like that of frame 8. The area is dark and isolated with only Smith waiting on his own. This is a great shot not only to show that this is the meeting place but also it adds great suspense to our thriller which is our pan ultimate challenge.
The close up of frame 4 is another shot that resembles one in our film. Our close up of the document that was left to tempt Smith when he was late. The close up identifies the product and makes it the focal point of the shot so that the audience are clear.
